hold the 'fire' and '+' buttons until you see the
menu on the display.
TUBO seems to run cold
Increase the resistance in
‘menu>coils>manage>TCR’ by 0.002. Make sure the lock
symbol is after the number before you leave. repeat if
necessary.
TUBO seems to run hot
Decrease the resistance in
‘menu>coils>manage>TCR’ by 0.002. Make sure the lock
symbol is after the number before you leave. repeat if necessary.
Change click combinations
Change in ‘menu>interface>clicks’. One has
to be set to Edit, otherwise it will get reset after a battery
change. 5-click always powers on/off.
Set Up Cruise Control/Session mode
Assign “Cruise” to one of the Clicks in
‘menu>interface>clicks’. Set your Cruise duration in
‘menu>vaping>timer’. Activate Cruise by clicking the fire button the
amount that was set in the clicks menu option. (2 clicks
default)
Cruise will be deactivated automatically when the time is up
or when it is aborted with a single click of the fire button.
Set Up Temperature Stepper
Assign “Tstep” to one of the Clicks in
‘menu>interface>clicks’. In ‘menu>vaping’ set your session time (timer),
amount of temperature steps (Tsteps), the starting temperature
(LoTemp) and the end temperature (HiTemp). Activate temperature stepping by clicking the
fire button the amount that was set in the clicks menu option.
(4 clicks default).
The session time is equally divided into the amount of steps
set in Tsteps and will steadily increase temperature for each
step.
Cycle through the steps with '+' and '-'.
Set Ecolevel for Eco-Cruise Control
Theoretical energy savings by lowering heater
temperature between draws in Cruise Control. Set your Eco level in
‘menu>vaping>Ecolevel’.
0: eco features disabled, original Cruise Control. keeps the
heater at the set temperature. 1: the heater temperature is lowered when no draw
is detected.
2: the heater temperature is lowered more than in eco level 1
when no draw is detected.
3: the heater temperature is always lowered to 135degC when no
draw is detected.
Set Up WarmUp-mode
Assign “WarmUp” to one of the Clicks in
‘menu>interface>clicks’. Activate WarmUp by clicking the fire button the
amount that was set in the clicks menu option. (3 clicks
default)
The warming up automatically shuts off when the threshold
watts are reached. It can be interrupted by single clicking
the fire button.
WarmUp to Cruise/WarmUp to Tempstep
If 'menu>vaping>W2Cru' is set to:
0 - warmup mode terminates normally and the device waits for
further input.
1 - warmup mode will continue to cruise control automatically. 2 - warmup mode will continue to temperature
stepper.
Change peak power
Enter main screen edit mode by clicking the fire
button three times (or according to clicks menu) until the top
line flashes. Navigate to the ‘PWR’ line by clicking ‘-‘ and
press ‘+’ to start changing the value and save with the fire
button. Recommended value is 70watts.
Activate 1°C/5°F increments
Switch the option in 'menu>interface>1CF5'
to ON.
Change 3rd line display
The third line on the main screen can be switched
to display different properties, default is current (AMP). Enter main screen edit mode by clicking the fire
button three times (or according to clicks menu) until top
line flashes. Navigate to the third line by clicking ‘-‘ and
press ‘+’ to change the display info. Set by clicking the fire
button.
Specify battery type
Change battery type in ‘menu>expert>bat’.
Mostly adjusts battery charge percentage. Its fine to let it
at ‘30Q’ with other batteries.
Activate power mode
In ‘menu>vaping>modes’ activate power mode
by setting ‘power’ to ‘Y’. enter main screen edit mode by
clicking fire three times until top line flashes. Press ‘+’
until you see ‘power’ and select with the fire button.
Recommended values for on-demand mode are 35-45 watts. Cruise
mode is not recommended in power mode. Do the same to get back
to TCR mode.
This software is recommended for TUBO heaters
only. Be careful with other heaters, start with low
settings.
latest firmware version
the latest
firmware contains all successful features of previous
firmware updates.
180408-tubomyevic-warmup2cruise-autotempstep-beta.bin
- automatic temperature stepper: assign
'Tstep' in 'menu>interface>clicks' to one of the
clicks options (4 default). in 'menu>vaping' set timer,
Tsteps, LoTemp and HiTemp. engage the Tstep mode by
clicking the fire button the amount of times set in the
clicks settings. timer is divided into Tsteps and
increased steadily from LoTemp to HiTemp for every step.
'+' and '-' cycle through the steps.
- warmup2cruise / warmup2tstep: warmup mode will
automatically continue to cruise/tstep mode.in 'menu>vaping' set W2Cru to 0:OFF, 1:
warmup2cruise, 2: warmup2tstep.
download the latest version of the firmware
and the program that will update your TUBO from above. One comes in a Zip folder so
extract/decompress the file. Use 7-Zip, if you don't already have a program that does
this.
Open the now decompressed folder, its called
"tubo-joyetechupdater". Same as the download but it should be a
"File folder" instead of a "Compressed (zipped) folder"
now.
Inside there are update tools for windows and
mac osx. Open the one for your system, and run the
application. A window that looks like this should pop up:
Turn your TUBO on and plug it into your PC
with a micro USB cable. Your computer should immediately
recognize the TUBO and the app will change to display your
info! (Note: make sure the USB cable is one that can also
transfer data. Some only do power. If nothing happens try
a different micro USB cable first! The included TUBO cable
will maybe not work. likely one for a smart phone is
suitable.
Click "Update" in the firmware app. A window
will open so you can select the firmware update file. Find
the BIN file called "XXXXX-tubomyevic-....", select
and open it.
Your TUBO should now be updated! If the
display stays black, repeat the update procedure. The
device can not be bricked. Exit the app, unplug your TUBO.

1: heater temperature is lowered some (linear relation ship

2: heater temperature is lowered more than in eco-level 1
when no draw is detected.
3: heater temperature is always lowered to 135°C/275°F when

170709-tubomyevic-goeasyonlowbat-beta.bin - better battery efficiency by limiting
peak power to 50watts if battery charge is lower than 50%,
again to 40watts when charge is below 25%.
